ARTIST STATEMENT



 My photography attempts to show how I perceive
the world to others. I believe the way in which people
take photos reflects how they think, feel, and carry
themselves in the world. With my photos, I hope to
lean into my unique view of the world and exhibit who I am as a person while also capturing the communities I exist in. To me, art is an accessible way for anyone to communicate who they are without words. I like to photograph nature, as I feel nature connects everyone and is a relatable subject.     


ABOUT THE ARTIST

Valentina Megraw is a born and raised New Yorker and a senior at Community Health Academy of the Heights. When she isn't taking photos, she is enjoying her other interests, which include drawing, watching movies, and sleeping. Though Valentina hopes to major in finance, she will never stop creating art.
