ARTIST STATEMENT

I work in digital photography, and I have found it
convenient to carry my camera with me everywhere
I can, photographing my friends, family, or community, at concerts and other music venues. Photography has made it easier for me to meet new people and build connections that I would otherwise never have made. I hope people feel a sense of curiosity and optimism when seeing my work.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Stephanie Muñoz, a senior at Park East High School in East Harlem, resides in Hamilton Heights. In her free time, she can be found in Queens and Brooklyn photographing her local music scene. She strives to represent her community in her photos. She likes to listen to music on her headphones and think of friends.
