Age: 16 Bronxdale High SchoolEvery time you feel like life is moving too slow you look back and feel like you missed it. The human lifespan is relatively short but with photographs, you can capture moments in time in expressive, beautiful, and vibrant ways. Then you can always look back at what once was. At the beginning of my journey with photography, all my pictures came out blurry, but as I progressed they got clearer. Although I have much to learn, I can now express my feelings and create scenes with photographs. A photographer who inspires me is Lorna Simpson, specifically her view on art and her belief in spontaneous creativity. I want to live in the moment and take pictures that capture the beautiful and the not-so-beautiful parts of life. Life is too short—I don’t want to waste it. I want any regrets I have to be overshadowed by all the good things.
