JORDYN VARGAS
ARTIST STATEMENT
The photos I capture are of everyday things that often go unnoticed. My photo process begins with trying to understand how the subject makes me feel. I like to photograph in the city because I think of it as a happy place and somewhere that holds many stories. I am mostly inspired by photographers who specialize in color photography and display uncomfortable emotions or topics in their photography. I am also inspired by city life, which pushes me to view and accept things as they are.
