Geordy Luna

Drawn to the power of absence, I use black-and-white photography to heighten focus on form, texture, light, and shadow. My camera explores both inner and outer landscapes: awe in nature's scale, beauty in the mundane, and moments filled with fantasy, melancholy, and nostalgia. Guided by instinct, I translate what I observe—whether a feeling, a face, or a landscape—into an image.

Geordy Luna is a junior at Claremont International High School and lives in the Bronx. He is passionate about taking black-and-white photographs to help people connect with the past and remember special moments, especially those with their grandparents. He finds joy in seeing someone smile or get curious when they see his photography. One of Geordy’s hobbies is programming games, such as Minecraft, where he runs and moderates his own server and adds new features. He also never sleeps! So, if you get insomnia at three am and need to talk, hear a story, or understand why the sky is blue, he is always there.
