My work is a blend of many things: vibrant colors, the contrast of light and dark, and the use of black-and-white scales. I like to capture the invisible, the things we don’t usually take a second glance at, such as a home, place, item, or person. My photography is still a work in progress, as I experiment with new topics and perspectives. What inspired me the most during this process were the works of Carrie Mae Weems and Texas Isaiah, specifically the way their works position the use of monochrome imagery in contemporary art—the use of color and theme gives a sense of a narrative that is both fresh and undone. The Calm Before the Storm, 2021The Pin In The Chaos, 2021
