ARTIST STATEMENT
hPhotography helps me express myself; pictures allow me to tell my story. When I am shooting, I feel like I’m in a different world. I can create my own environment; I can create my own narrative. I love to photograph family, friends, and community. Photography helps me interact with people. It has helped me create a feeling of belonging.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Agnes Baidoo is currently a freshman at Murray Hill Academy. Her family is originally from Ghana, but she was born in New York City and currently lives in Harlem. She loves to eat, shop, and help others. Agnes also has a twin brother named Elijah, and she is seven minutes older than him.
